The Chief Executive has delivered the “2020 Policy Address” today. As for “Creating Employment”, the Government plans to create more sector-specific job opportunities which are tailored for young people graduating in recent years. Property management industry is one of those selected sectors. The Government will collaborate with large property management companies and will subsidise them to employ young people who are interested in pursuing their career in property management.
The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) welcomes the proposal and will fully support the Government in the implementation.
Mr Tony TSE, the PMSA Chairperson said, “The property management industry licensing regime, which helps drive the development of the industry for enhancement in quality and professionalism, came into operation on 1 August this year. The response from the industry to the licensing regime has been positive. The proposed scheme of the Government can encourage aspiring young people to join the property management industry, boost the professionalism and attractiveness of the industry, nurture talents for the industry to support its sustainable development, as well as create more employment opportunities for young people.”
Chairperson TSE added, “The PMSA will fully support and collaborate with the industry, including large property management companies, in the implementation of the scheme.”
