The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) announced today that, following an open recruitment exercise, Mr SIU Yu-bun, Alan has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 20 April 2020.
Mr SIU joined the Administrative Service of the Hong Kong Government in July 1986 and rose to the rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A in 2017. He has served in various government bureaux and departments, including the former City and New Territories Administration, the former Transport Branch, the former Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority, the former Finance Branch, the former Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Home Affairs Bureau. He was Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Communications and Technology) from 2007 to 2011 and Government Property Administrator until 2015. Before joining the PMSA, Mr SIU was Director of Administration and Development of the Department of Justice from 2015 to 2019.
Mr Tony TSE, the PMSA Chairperson said, “Mr SIU has served in the Government for many years. As a seasoned administrative officer with proven leadership and management skills, Mr SIU has extensive experience in launching policy initiatives, formulating strategies, as well as managing human and financial resources. I deeply believe that Mr SIU will be able to lead the Executive Office in assisting the PMSA to meet the challenges ahead.”
Mr Alan SIU, the PMSA CEO said, “I am very honoured to be appointed as the CEO of the PMSA. I, together with the Executive Office, will make concerted efforts to assist the PMSA in preparing for the property management services licensing regime which will be launched very soon, with a view to enhancing the professionalism of the industry to serve the community with quality property management services. Besides, I shall be leading the Executive Office in assisting the PMSA to further implement the Anti-epidemic Support Scheme for Property Management Sector under the Government’s Anti-epidemic Fund for providing frontline property management workers and related properties with Anti-epidemic Hardship Allowance as well as Anti-epidemic Cleansing Subsidy.
